This module introduces trainees to international best practices, regulations, and expectations in the trucking and logistics industry. Emphasis is placed on compliance, safety culture, and understanding cross-border operational procedures.
Delivered through video visuals and narrated simulations, this module teaches defensive driving principles, hazard recognition, and accident prevention. Learners will complete online quizzes and real-world driving case studies to reinforce safe driving behavior
This module includes guided tutorials on how to accurately fill out driver logs, understand hours-of-service limits, and follow rest regulations. Interactive tools and downloadable templates are provided for hands-on practice in a virtual setting.
This module covers proper cargo securement, weight distribution, and vehicle inspection routines. Trainees will complete virtual inspection checklists and photo-based exercises to develop practical awareness.
This module focuses on professional communication strategies, including responding to dispatch, client interaction, and respectful peer engagement. Learners will explore sample dialogues, participate in role-play simulations, and complete self-assessments to build soft skills.
At the end of the training, learners will complete a final exam to assess their understanding and overall job readiness. This includes a basic English proficiency assessment (not IELTS) to help align trainees with appropriate job placement opportunities. Successful candidates will receive a Truck Driver Job Readiness Training Certification upon completion.
Guides learners in creating a professional truck driver’s resume that highlights relevant skills and experience. Includes formatting tips, content guidance, and sample templates.
Prepares candidates for job interviews through practice questions, roleplay, and strategies to answer confidently. Focus is placed on communication style, dress code, and employer expectations.
Upon course completion, participants' resumes are submitted to trusted employer and recruitment partners in Canada and globally. This step supports direct pathways to job opportunities in the trucking sector across multiple regions.
Skills Academy Canada will provide a clear pathway to job placement or immigration in key global regions including Canada, the USA, Europe, South America, Australia, and the Gulf Region. Through our training, certification, and employer network, participants gain the qualifications and support needed to pursue international employment or skilled migration opportunities.
